I'm hoping someone with more asoundrc clue than I can help me straighten out my configuration problem.
I have an 8-input Mixart8 card (yes, finally got it working) which shows up as 4 separate stereo devices (i.e. hw:0,0 ... hw:3,0). I can record all eight channels at once, using ecasound to merge the four inputs into a single 8-channel WAV, but I would like to use ecasignalview, which can only take a single input device. I know that there's a kludge to link several stereo sound cards together to act like a single PCM device (with the caveat of potential synchronization issues). Is there a way to configure things such that all four Mixart "devices" show up as a single 8-channel device, supporting both PCM and Mixing?
