Well, I figured out the problem with what the "Digital Output" is for.  
My speakers are digital speakers, which require a digital signal from 
the card.  So, now to find an analog-to-digital convertor/adaptor and 
VOILA!!!!  Got sound with headphones, but I don't want these 
semi-expensive monitors to go to waste. :P
