like jaroslav said, or just define another pcm:
#the plug plugin converts samplerate, etc, on the fly
pcm.pdmixed {
type plug
slave.pcm "dmixed"
}
#the ctl is to make all these apps happy that want to open a mixer
#device by the same name
ctl.pdmixed {
type hw
card 0
}
