Hi all, I have an ASUS motherboard (A7V8X) that has two SPDIF connectors on it. I've got output working fine (for some definition of fine; I need to use arts and artsdsp for everything non-ALSA, and it seems to be rate locked at 48k), but I can't get recording to work.
I get this error; themachine:~# arecord -D iec958 -f dat -d 1 foo.wav arecord: main:502: audio open error: Device or resource busy themachine:~# Am I doing something very basic wrong? Also, I had some basic problems compiling many of the example programs on the ALSA FTP site under the latest version of the libraries. I couldn't get jackd to compile with it either :-(.
