Hi, i've recently installed ALSA (1.0.0rc2) and all seems to work ok...
but after playing a while with any application that uses the driver (ie:
opening more than one xmms session at time, or several play-stop cycles
on mplayer) the sound mutes and the following message appears on the
console "Vortex: vortex_fifo_setadbctrl fail".
this message repeats when triying again to play any sound.
the only way i've found to unlock the device is rebooting.
aparently, there is no more information about this error o the web, only
the source code portion where this messages prints =P
the soundcard works fine with windoze in the same box =(

any ideas?

DETAILS:
ALSA version: 1.0.0rc2

Vortex 2 (rev fe) (AU8830)

Ivan
