The Revo has excellent output quality on all channels and is much better supported by ALSA than any of the Creative Rubbish in Linux (IMHO).

But OSS mmapped games e.g. Quake3 do not work directly,
Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by "directly"? Is there a way around the issue?
I'm also looking at the ST Audio products. Does anyone have any thoughts on those?
Finally, I'm curious about the USB interfaces. Are these things really reliable? I was under the impression that USB was intended for low data rate transfers.
