Hi guys,

I am trying to upgrade alsa0.5(which is working fine) to alsa1rc2 under Suse
7.1 (Sound Braster live 5.1 card)
I have recompiled kernel 2.4 with sound support as instructed. Installed
kernell run lilo. All went fine. Alsa 0.5 still working...

then
./configure alsa 1 driver
make
when compiling it it fails with error:

LINUX -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -fomit-frame-pointer -Wno-trigraphs -O2
-fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -pipe -DALSA_BUILD -D__isapnp_now__

gcc -D__KERNEL__ -DMODULE=1

I cannot find any clues what is missing.
Please help with this.

Also I am not sure is alsa1rc2 significantly better than 0.5... Is it worth
wasting time upgrading it?

Thanks a lot.

Kind regards

Kazys
