i use the cmi9738 chipset on board the via8233a audio controller. i had been going on fine using the oss drivers avialable at the cmedia site (http://www.cmedia.com.tw/download/e_UDA9738_linux.htm) .However recently i switched distros to suse 9.0, in whichthe alsa driver for via82xx is currently being used. However i want the 4 channel support and the xear 3d mode of the driver which are avaiable in the oss version.I searched in the alsa main site, but there arent any such drivers. Does anyone know of a way to enable these, or are there any cmi9738 drivers that anyone knows about ? Sarath Menon
