You don't put it in lilo.conf, but in /etc/modules.conf.
Something like "options snd-emu10k1 index=0 extin=0x3fcf extout=0x1fcf
enable_ir=1".
For more information check
http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php?company=Creative+Labs&card=Soundblaster+Audigy+Platinum&chip=Audigy&module=emu10k1#notes.

Hope it helps,

Miguel Duarte

Subject: [Alsa-user] audigy 2.6.0-test9 enable_ir

Hi,
I am using 2.6.0-test9 kernel, with statical compiled alsa driver:
<*> Advanced Linux Sound Architecture
  <*> Sequencer support
  < > Sequencer dummy client
   [*] OSS API emulation
  <*> OSS Mixer API
  <*> OSS PCM (digital audio) API
   [*] OSS Sequencer API
  <*> RTC Timer support
   [ ] Verbose printk
   [ ] Debug

PCI devices --->
<*> EMU10K1 (SB Live! & Audigy, E-mu APS)

How can I enable irda of my audigy platinum card?
something like append="enable_ir=1" in my lilo.conf ...
