Hi all using the latest 1.0.0pre2 drivers and the 1.0.0pre1 utils, I was able to not just have sound (which worked with the default mandrake 9.2 kernel after all), but also have output at 44100 Hz, instead of 48kHz ;-)
I've updated the Wikipage http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php?page=ice1724 and I've also been messing around with rewriting the http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php?page=alsamixer wikipage, since the existing one was some weird form of pigeon english. I used the output of man alsamixer to get a new version started. Please correct the page as you see fit!
