Hello! With the Terratec DMX 6fire 24/96 I'm having trouble making stereo recordings from the various input channels. Playback works fine, I can even connect the turntable to the phono input at the break out box and listen.
But for some reason recording works only in mono. That is: | arecord tst.wav | Recording WAVE 'tst.wav' : Unsigned 8 bit, Rate 8000 Hz, Mono aplay plays the file alright. The same goes for | arecord -d 10 -r 44100 -f S16_LE tst.wav | Recording WAVE 'tst.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 44100 Hz, Mono | arecord -d 10 -r -r 44800 -f S32_LE tst.wav | Recording WAVE 'tst.wav' : Signed 32 bit Little Endian, Rate 48000 Hz, Mono aplay works as expected. But the following result in silence: | arecord -d 10 -r 44100 -f S16_LE -c2 tst.wav | Recording WAVE 'tst.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 44100 Hz, Stereo | arecord -d 10 -r 44800 -f S32_LE -c2 tst.wav | Recording WAVE 'tst.wav' : Signed 32 bit Little Endian, Rate 44800 Hz, Stereo It seems whenever stereo is wanted, recording doesn't work. I'm using Alsa 1.0.0pre1 compiled with "./configure --with-cards=ice1712,via82xx" and the most simple .asoundrc. Is there a bug or have I forgotten to configure something? ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
