I've just installed kernel 2.6test9 with it's alsa emu10k1 driver. I've got SB LIve! 5.1 and Creative Inspire 5.1 5100 connected to it. In windows all works fine - when I play DVD movies with 5.1 sound, it works great. When I play stereo movies/audio - it plays on four channels - front and surround. But in Linux with alsa i have problems. WHen I play DVD movies with xine with -A alsa and 5.1 in options enabled, it plays on front and center - surround is silent. When I play with xmms and alsa driver antyhing stereo - it plays only on front - surround is silent. What's going on? How can I enable it? Of course - in alsamixer, surround and wave surround are unmuted and set to 100 ... Please, help!
