My VXPocket V2 records perfectly each time at -f S24_3LE
-c2 -r 48000 for the first 30 seconds. After 30 seconds have
passed, however, it records only a loud, hissing noise with
no evidence of the original sound source.

The length of time until noise (30 seconds) seems very
accurate and repeatable. I've tried this on:

1. Linux 2.4.22 (with LowLatency) and ALSA 0.9.8
2. RedHat 9 and ALSA 0.9.5

Same results each time :(

I tried playing the wave file back through the native sound
device and got the noise after 30 seconds - so it *appears*
to be a recording/capture problem.
(Computer is an IBM ThinkPad T40)

If I set the recording format to "dat", it appears to
record indefinitely (> 3 minutes) with no troubles.
Unfortunately, I need the 24 bit sampling for an
urgent college research project.

I will be happy to provide any required data to help
track this down, but I haven't a clue where to start.

Many thanks, Scott.
