I posted a complete working (a)OSS-dmix configuration for the Audiophile
to http://alsa.opensrc.org/?DmixPlugin now. Running here with great
success except that xmms crashes. :(

$ aoss xmms
Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0xd8b)!
Gdk-ERROR **: X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
Gdk-ERROR **: Fatal IO error 9 (Bad file descriptor) on X server :0.0.

But I don't think, that this is ALSA's fault, as other OSS software
like mpg123 and ogg123 works now - at the same time, that is!

Personally I don't care much about xmms not working as I don't use
(and don't like) xmms much anyway.
