When booting with my alsa (0.9.7c) kernel (2.4.20-20-7), I get this error: depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.20-20.7.cisco.2/misc/snd.o
It doesn't actually "break" sound on a non-alsa-required box... in fact the sounds works just fine. Still though, I am curious as to what it means. Notice what modprobe says about the module: [EMAIL PROTECTED] RPMS]# modprobe -v snd /sbin/insmod /lib/modules/2.4.20-20.7.cisco.2/misc/snd.o Using /lib/modules/2.4.20-20.7.cisco.2/misc/snd.o Symbol version prefix '' /lib/modules/2.4.20-20.7.cisco.2/misc/snd.o: unresolved symbol schedule_work /lib/modules/2.4.20-20.7.cisco.2/misc/snd.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.20-20.7.cisco.2/misc/snd.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.20-20.7.cisco.2/misc/snd.o: insmod snd failed Anyone know what this means? Where is the symbol schedule_work supposed to be provided? -- Joshua Jensen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Work: 919 392 1488 Mobile: 919 454 9679 Fax: 919 392 7377 Pager: 866 264 2691 Epage: [EMAIL PROTECTED] IBM Linux Architect - RHCE, RHCT, etc ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email sponsored by: Enterprise Linux Forum Conference & Expo The Event For Linux Datacenter Solutions & Strategies in The Enterprise Linux in the Boardroom; in the Front Office; & in the Server Room http://www.enterpriselinuxforum.com _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
