When building the alsa-utils, I get this: checking for libasound headers version >= 0.9.0... not present. configure: error: Sufficiently new version of libasound not found. error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.12769 (%build)
I've read the docs, and I know that I am supposed to install the alsa-libs first... but I have: [EMAIL PROTECTED] alsa-utils]$ rpm -qa | grep alsa alsa-lib-0.9.7-1 kernel-alsa-driver-2.4.20-20.7.cisco.2 [EMAIL PROTECTED] alsa-utils]$ rpm -ql alsa-lib | grep h$ /usr/include/alsa/asoundlib.h [EMAIL PROTECTED] alsa-utils]$ ls -l /usr/include/alsa/ total 4 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1821 Oct 7 13:48 asoundlib.h I compiled the libs rpm package myself from 0.9.7. The .h header file is there... why can't ./configure find the header libasound.h? I've even used the --with-alsa-prefix and the --with-alsa-inc-prefix options to no avail. What am I missing? -- Joshua Jensen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Work: 919 392 1488 Mobile: 919 454 9679 Fax: 919 392 7377 Pager: 866 264 2691 Epage: [EMAIL PROTECTED] IBM Linux Architect - RHCE, RHCT, etc ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
