Hi,

I have a shuttle sk41g system with on-board via8233 chip. I've followed
the installation of alsa and the configuration on the website and
everything works nicely. I can listen to mp3s and other sounds
perfectly....

However, when I play a dvd there is this 'crackling' sound, mainly
noticeable in the treble, i.e. when people are speaking.... its really
annoying... its hard to explain what it sounds like but its kind of like
if you encoded an mp3 at too low of a bit rate, you hear this sort of
digital crackling in the treble ....

Anyone else experience such a problem? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

-- Andrew
