Q1. Is it possible to route the left/right fronts to the left/right
surrounds and duplicate the front channels?
Q2. Does ALSA support 7.1 channel surround sound as follows:

Q3. As the Revo has two DACs, the volumes of the front and surround
channels are unequalised (thanks for the info Takashi!). Therefore,
which mixer volume settings represent 0 dB? Surely the front and
surround volumes are controlled in the dsp, so it should be possible
to equalise them in the driver?
