Hallo

in order to get Quake3 and Teamspeak running at the same time i need ( if i want to
use alsa ) more than one device, since all other than /dev/dsp0 don't work at all, i
need a tool that help me.
My System ist AMD1600+ Sounblaster ( Emu10k1 ) Geforce 3 ti 200 ..... Os Running
Debian Testing Kernel 2.4.20.
Ii try to use something like esound or asd to solve the problem, without any success.
But than i read about dmix, which is provided by the lib package of all alsa 9.2 and
above. Since i use alsa 9.2 i try to find it compile it or make it work ... but
anfortunately i cound 't find it.
So i ended up here ... . So there are more than i way to do it, i read about it ... :))
By the way .. the problem is, that Quake3 and Teamspeak are unwilling to share one
device, it work without any problems that Xmms and Quake or mplayer and Quake ... only
Quake und Teamspeak (2) are not willing to withdraw.
What i try to do is, set up an Mixer like esound or asd and let than solve the problem
... i know than would be wrong here, but since both are not working with alsa and
something like dmix seems to exists, i wound like to make it work.
So has anybody of you an expirience with it and is willing to share it with me ??

Thank for reading & thx for helping

MFG
Strasheim
