Hello: I have a Dell C840 Laptop running RH8.0, kernel 2.4.20, and alsa-0.9.6. The laptop's audio works fine, but only from the laptops own built in speaker/headphone jacks or internal speakers... When I connect speakers or headphones to the Docking Stations audio jacks, I still get sound from the laptops internal speakers. The Dock's audio ports work fine in Windoze. (Everything else in the doc works from linux)
I am not sure this is an alsa issue, but I figured this would be a good place to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. System Specs: Dell C840 (2.4 Ghz P4, 1.0 GB RAM) uses snd-intel8x0 alsa module. RH8.0, Kernel 2.4.20 from kernel.org, alsa-0.9.6. NV binary drivers for GeForce4 440 Go.
