These devices will be created by the snddevices script, or (if you have devfs) when the snd-xxx modules have been loaded successfully. > snd.o: unresolved symbol snd_verbose_printk This often happens with Mandrake kernels, but I don't really know why. Please try to replace line 39 of alsa-kernel/core/misc.c with #if 1 and then recompile and reinstall the driver.
