Hi i'm running linux kernel 2.4.22 and try to install alsa 0.9.6 I was running 2.4.21 before and alsa compiled and worked without problems .
./configure --with-cards=via82xx --with-sequencer=yes make make install are OK : no errors. but: modprobe snd-via82xx modprobe: Can't locate module snd-via82xx and after i "make" , and if i look in my entire HDD for a file named "snd-via82xx.*" , i dont find it ... my guess is that it did not build the needed driver at all , so that it is normal that i cannot probe it .
