(apologies if this did make it to the list before -- i didn't receive a copy so i'm resending..)
i'm trying to get alsa to support my emagic usb 2|6 card without much luck. i 'm running debian sid with a 2.4.22 kernel on a powerbook g3 500, with the emi26 firmware module loaded by /etc/modules. i have alsa up and running fine for my internal soundcard, but i'd like to add support for my emi usb card, and i'm not really sure how to proceed. i tried using /etc/modules to load snd-usb-audio, which loads ok, but no sound output from the emi. from googling around, i imagine i need to do some editing to /etc/modules.conf and perhaps also the .asoundrc, but none of the information i've found specifically mention the emi. could someone help me work out which steps i need to get this usb card up and running? or direct me to a good url?
