haven't had time to test this more thouroughly since I needed sound
again ASAP (recording a lot on this box). But yesterday I decided to try
the WOLK (wolk.sourceforge.net) since grsecurity on its own has, at
least it seems to me, changed responsiveness of my sytem for the bad.

Only trouble is, alsa-cvs (with which the TerraTec EWX 24/96 works much
better than with the release version) doesn't compile with wolk
installed.

The error is the following (also posted in the bug-form on the
wolk-site):
make[1]: Entering directory

has anyone else encountered this? or did I do something wrong?
