When I try to install Alsa, using the install instructions from the site, I get:

Please, run the configure script as first...
rm -f /snd*.o /persist.o /isapnp.o make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-0.9.6/support' Makefile:9: ../Makefile.conf: No such file or directory Makefile:27: /Rules.make: No such file or directory make[1]: *** No rule to make target `/Rules.make'. Stop. make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-0.9.6/support' make: *** [install-modules] Error 1
