You could use the snd-mpu401 driver (with the same port and irq
settings you have set for the MPU-401 port in the BIOS setup). Your
board doesn't have a MIDI synthesizer; you would be able to access an
external MIDI device connected to the gameport.

If you want to hear music, try a software synthesizer like Timidity or
Fluidsynth.
