I use Mandrake 9.1 and delta44 which is the same technology.
Use of envy24control can solve some problems (I have found a rpm.).
I can now play a sound, but I can't record !
However, analogic inputs are processed, Vu-meters show the input level
and can be routed to the outputs.

I have found no documentation about envy24control. You have to try and guess.

I have tried to record with audacity and grecord.
/dev/dsp seems to work but no record is possible.
