well, the vx hardware is not quite light when the small latency is
used.  it's not using a DMA transfer but supposed to copy data in
loop.

anyway, you can change the module parameter "ibl" for snd-vxpocket
module.  this specifies the size of capture IBL, which corresponds to
the interrupt period.  as default, the driver uses the minimal size to
get the lowest latency.  the size should be aligned to 126 (yes, 126,
not 128).

also, in the configuration of jack, try to use the period size aligned
to 126, too.
