HI Clemens.

Tapio Laxström, the developer of the module, found the problem.
The hardware which I have is of a newer generation than the driver
knows about - the PRODUCT_ID's didn't match.
I changed the product id to reflect the device in the emi26 driver and
now it works.

Thanks,

Gideon

The emi26 module is loaded, alsa 0.9.4 is installed and working, the

installed but when I try to access the emi, alsa gives an error telling :

hitchcock /root# alsactl store 0
alsactl: get_controls:485: snd_ctl_open error: No such device

Is the device listed in /proc/asound/cards?

Is it possible to play sounds (e.g. "aplay something.wav")?

Please show the contents of /proc/asound/card0/stream0 and the output
of "lsusb -v".
