Try unpacking again, it really should be in the archive.

No; "cat WARNING" is the last command executed by "make install".

Windows doesn't use this cable by default (because many cheap
computers don't have it), but extracts the audio data digitally over
the IDE bus.  You can do the same with cddr2wav.
