Hi, version: I installed and bootet linux-2.4.21rc8 Then, I have compiled and installed alsa-driver 0.9.4 (also tried 0.9.3)
symptom: Whenever I try to remove the snd-via82xx module, the system freezes. This also happens, when KDE tries to initialize the sound system. lspci reports: 00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc.
