Hi,
I have the same problem as J. Scott Amort (see
http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg07324.html
for his message) with a slightly newer kernel. ALSA 0.9.0rc7 works, but
with 0.9.1 and 0.9.2, I get the following error message when I try to load
the modules:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# modprobe -a snd-cmipci
/lib/modules/2.4.20-2.54/kernel/sound/snd.o: unresolved symbol schedule_work
/lib/modules/2.4.20-2.54/kernel/sound/snd.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.20-2.54/kernel/sound/snd.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.20-2.54/kernel/sound/snd.o: insmod snd-cmipci failed

This is under RedHat 8.0.94 ("Phoebe 3") with kernel [EMAIL PROTECTED] on
a Duron with a "C-Media Electronics Inc CM8738 (rev 10)" PCI-soundcard.

Does anyone know how I can make it work? Has anyone had any success in
running ALSA 0.9.[12] under Phoebe?

Thanks in advance for any help,
Levin Fritz
