Thank you for this information. Just take your time with implementing
that, I'm only playing around and I don't need dmixing "right now". 

But in general. I think, it's wonderful to have direct mixing
available inside ALSA. Because then we can get rid of the awful
soundservers like ESD even on non-pro-audio systems.
