yep, i have a m-audio quattro too... was a bit puzzled by this until it was explained to me that there *arent* any mixer elements on the quattro... its designed for use with a mixing desk...
you can change output volumes in apps like ardour, of course... but this is *rendered* output of a mix... for playing CDs the only controls you'll have within the box are the two buttons for output level....
