The installation instructions for that card are quite explicit: http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php3?company=Midiman&card=USB+Audio+Quattro&chip=Cypress+AN2131XX&module=usb-audio Follow them to the letter and you should be ok. Looks like you'll need to run one of rht linked apps to pull the firmware down from the Quattro though. Before you start - make sure USB is properly setup on your laptop. One of several ways to test this is to make sure your USB chipset is properly identified in the output of dmesg. You can check which chipset you have with 'cat /proc/pci'. # John Bleichert # http://vonbek.dhs.org/latest.jpg ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
