Hello, I need some help, My linux is an debian 3.0r1. I install Alsa driver 0.9.0rc6 sucessfully but i have an problem, so i want to install 0.9.0rc7 and I have also another problem. I compile the drivers and i have the error when i do make install -------------------------------------------------------------------- make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/alsa-driver-0.9.0rc7/usb' /sbin/depmod -a 2.4.20--initrd depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.20--initrd/misc/snd-emu10k1-synth.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.20--initrd/misc/snd-emu8000-synth.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.20--initrd/misc/snd-emux-synth.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.20--initrd/misc/snd-gus-synth.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.20--initrd/misc/snd-trident-synth.o make: [install-modules] Error 1 (ignored) ------------------------------------------------------------------ and it seems that the driver are not updated to 0.9.0rc7 when i do cat /proc/asound/version francois:~# cat /proc/asound/version Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 0.9.0rc6. Compiled on Jan 26 2003 for kernel 2.4.20--initrd with versioned symbols. at boot they also confirm the version. The commands to compile : francois:~# ./configure --prefix=/usr --with-kernel=/usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.20 --with-moddir=/lib/modules/2.4.20--initrd/alsa --with-isapnp=no --with-cards=ali5451 --with-sequencer=yes francois:~# make I have uninstall all 0.9.0 rc6 with make uninstall What can i do.
