Hello, Finally, I got the alsa drivers, lib and utils compiled and installed. alsaconf allowed me to configure my pci512 card, and alsasound says the driver is loaded.
Next step, I am using amixer to set up the system, and while I can set the volume levels, I can't use the unmute parameter anywhere without bgetting an error. I tried setting the volume on Master, Playback PCM, and Cd to 50% on both speakers. I then tried playing a wave file with aplay, but just got a bit of static. Any ideas?
