This has been botherting me for a while. I am trying to use ALSA 0.9.0rc6 (the one currently available as a debian-unstable source package) with my SBLive. The driver loads fine with no problems and I get sound (with and without OSS emulation).
However, the mixer settings have no effect. I can move the volume bars up and down and nothing happens (both in the alsa and oss mixers). This has been hapenning for many versions of ALSA now and I'd like to figure out what the problem is. I suspect it has something to do with the SBLive's internal routing table, but I'm just now sure how to interact with it.
