I have tried virtually all mixer settings ..If the switch is there, it should, in theory, work. The behaviour of the mixer controls may be different from the Windows driver. Please try playing with all mixer settings.HTH Clemens
I did notice one thing , If I enable "Sigmatel surrond" , the
sound from front two speakers is virtually halved If "2ch->4ch
copy" is unmuted . I think this is expected as this is supposed to
be compensated by rear 2 speakers (?) I also noticed that this
state can be overcome by muting any one of
"Sigmatel surround" or "2ch->4ch copy" or "playback" (there is a
2nd playback control )
Does the player used make any difference , I've tried plaympeg,
xmms, mplayer and alsaplayer ( v0.99.72 ) .
Is there any particular mixer setting that I should try (which I
might have missed) , Or just wait for the next release of the
current drivers ?
Can anyone send me a alsasound.state in which rear speakers have
been tested to work ?
Thanx,
Rajesh
