[Alsa-user] Alsa won't load (Delta 410 and latest cvs snapshot)

I just installed a M-Audio Delta 410 on Mandrake 8.2. Alsa 0.9rc6 doesn't support this card som I downlaoded the latest cvs version (http). This compiles and installs but when I try to modprobe the module I get:

/lib/modules/2.4.18-6mdk/kernel/sound/acore/snd-pcm.o: unresolved symbol vmalloc_to_page
modprobe: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.18-6mdk/kernel/sound/acore/snd-pcm.o failed
modprobe: insmod snd-ice1712 failed

I unpack the package and type make in the main dir. Is this enough?

I should note that 0.9rc6 compiles and runs.

I have inserted this in modules.conf:

# ALSA portion
alias char-major-116 snd
alias snd-card-0 snd-ice1712
# module options should go here

# OSS/Free portion
alias char-major-14 soundcore
alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0

# card #1
alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss
alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-service-0-8 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss

I have then removed the OSS parts.
