Hi there!

Some time ago I explained, that using my on board

00:10.0 Multimedia audio controller: C-Media Electronics Inc CM8738 (rev
10)
Subsystem: Soyo Computer, Inc: Unknown device a706
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 11
        I/O ports at d400 [size=256]
Capabilities: [c0] Power Management version 2

works for 2 or 3 seconds, than the PC freezes completely. I yesterday
tried a cvs snapshot, same situation. Kernel driver does the same! I
wonder if opensound would work... But I will try that only with a spare
installation, the binary crap is awful!

I am writing now, because messing around with it, I realized that the
usb uhci driver was yelling like hell when accessing the cmipci. I tried
then (after usb-uhci) the uhci driver, which looks a bit different...
May that help debug the issue?
Can I provide any other help debugging that thing? I like the chip,
because SPDIF out and so are working great, for 3 seconds, lol...
