I installed the latest release of Alsa and everything works fine except when I try to record video using mythtv there is no sound in the video. Its as if, it is recording from the wrong audio source. If i revert to the old cs46xx driver that came with the kernel (without any changes to my mixer settings) I can record audio from line input. I have a ATI TV Wonder PCI with audio out plugged in to the Santa Cruz's analog line in. With either the alsa driver or the cs46xx driver I have sound in Linux : cd audio works, xawtv works, xmms works, xine works so th problem seems to be just on finding the correct recording source. Interestingly, Kmix shows Cirrus Logic CS4297A rev 4, Cirr. Is this correct, I thought it should show CS46xx. I am running Mandrake 9. Thanks
