Hi, I guess you have the Multiface. The problem with no sound on channel 11-18 is solved with a recent fix in CVS (2002-11-29). I don't know if it is released in a release candidate yet.
Regarding line out, I am not sure if it is on by default. You may have to give the line_outs_monitor parameter at module load. Check the page http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php3?company=RME&card=Hammerfall+DSP&chip=FPGA&module=hdsp#opt for more information.
