I don't have all of the answers that you seek, but I was hacking on my SBLive! Value the other night and have some insight....

Correct. This is an output. > Questions: > * What is the Phone input? Designed for some sort of internal connection to a modem. Since I've got cable-modem access I have no modem. I've hacked up a cable run to the external (audio out) connector on my mono TV card so that I can use the TAD connection instead of burning one of my stereo inputs. This leaves me with the mono line in connection free. > * What does the PC Speaker input (or is it output?) do exactly? Allows you to make lovely beeps. And that's about all. There's much that I don't know as well. I can't seem to tell what some of the other functions on my board do. I'm not running ALSA on that system, so I didn't feel it was fair to ask about it here. However, since we've burned bandwidth on this topic.... 1. Anyone know what the Igain and Ogain sliders do? 2. There's a "speaker" slider that appears to be mono, and also doesn't appear to do anything. 3. How can I control sending output to the "rear" channel? I would love to be able to run a second set of speakers with that output, but don't understand how to do that. 4. The video slider in the mixer doesn't appear to relate to any of the connectors on my sound card, either. Thanks for the time, and sorry for the noise.
