You _must_ use the pnp to use the cs4236 driver with this card (it's the only solution for not killing interrupt handler i have found). But there are many problems with the isapnp modules which may oops the kernel in initialisation. For more, see the thomas hood's page. The solution is to let the bios addressing the ressources and not the kernel. for doing this, disable the quick boot option in the easy-setup and use a kernel which support the pnpBIOS. (-ac kernels have this, but not officialy kernels). so enter goods option for the snd-cs4236 module (se the thomas hood's page about this). good luke !
