Hi there! If I switch on the IEC958 Output in alsamixer for my on-board cmipci soundchip (on a SOYO Dragon Ultra, via KT333) the output seems to switch on, my external DAC gets a link. But after starting mplayer with mplayer -ao oss:/dev/dsp2 (it's the 3rd soundcard) the System freezes within 1 second.
Is this a known issue? I user kernel 2.4.20-pre10-ac2 with alsa-0.9.0-rc5.
