I'm sure this these questions come up quite often, but since they aren't in any FAQ or don't have (IMHO) any good answers I'll ask them again:
I have a SBLive! with a LiveDriveII. I want to be able to use a sequencer program to control a synth connected to the midi i/o ports, and more importantly I want to be able to capture the sound from the synth via the "AUX IN 2" input on the livedrive. I also want to "forward" the aux input to the normal stereo output. Is this possible with ALSA? The only thing I haven't been able to do yet with the Creative open-source driver is to capture the aux2 input, but everything else is very easy to do with the emu-dspmgr program. With ALSA, I can use the midi ports, but not the aux2 port (which would be ok if I could afford an external mixer.) The reason I'm asking this is because it is quite hard to find a good sequencer program that doesn't require ALSA, and that it looks like the old OSS driver model is shifted out in favor of ALSA. Thanks in advance (whatever the answer may be... :) / Joachim ====================================================================== The Arrow Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Joachim Pileborg WWW : http://pileborg.org/~arrow/ ====================================================================== "How lovely you are.
