Hello Just now, I got the cvs stuff, and compiled the driver, the lib and the utils. No error at all. I have compiled and used the driver cmipci which is for my zoltrix cmedia 8738 card.
After bringing up the stuff, the problem starts; The problem is that whenever I try to set the master volume, it stays at zero, the same with amixer, using sset it says 100%, but re-reading with sget says zero. Apart from this, the master volume is not muted, which I think it should be when bringing up the device. I cannot mute it either! Using aplay to tests gives no error, and the program returns after the length of the test.wav. Any hints; driver? lib? utils? Kernel I guess not, since I had (bad) sound before.
