I have installed RH7.1 with a 2.4.2 kernel version. I have an Avance Logic
4000 soundcard (als4000). After extracting alsa files into the respective
directories, I tried to run it using the following commands:
./cvscompile --with-kernel=/usr/src/linux

./configure --with-kernel=/usr/src/linux --with-cards=als4000 --with-sequenc
er=yes;make;make install

After executing a series of commands, the following error message was
displayed:

..............................................................
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/alsa-driver-0.9.0rc2/usb'
/sbin/depmod -a 2.4.2-2 -F /usr/src/linux/System.map
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/atm/ambassador.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/atm/atmtcp.od...........................
......
(I HAVE NOT GIVEN ALL THE OUTPUT MESSAGES BUT ONLY THOSE THAT ARE RELEVANT)

Please tell me what has to be done regarding this.

Thanks in advance
Sriram
