I have an RME96-8/pst and also a Hammerfall lite and am unble to capture with either. I'm running Alsa from CVS on kernel 2.4.19. I have been trying for quite a while to caputure successfully but have had no luck. The card always reports "no valid signal" though I am certain it is getting one. I have tried multiple cables and digital sources (cd players and a/d converters) to eliminate that as a source of problems. Does anyone have any suggestions? Here is /proc/asound/card0/rme:
